The First Tee of Central New Mexico (formally, The First Tee of Santa Fe), a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization, was established as a The First Tee Chapter in April 2008, to make golf more accessible to any child interested in learning the game of golf and its life-enhancing values. In collaboration with the Santa Fe Country Club, The First Tee of Central New Mexico was created.

The First Tee of Central New Mexico Learning Center is located at Santa Fe Country Club. The 18 hole Par 72 golf course also includes a driving range, short-game practice area, and two putting greens.

The First Tee of Central New Mexico serves youth ages 7 to 18 from Santa Fe & Albuquerque at two locations: Santa Fe Country Club, and University of New Mexico Championship Course. Three sessions a year are conducted at each facility. Scholarships are available for those participants who come from families with significant financial challenges. All First Tee students begin at the PLAYer level and are introduced to The First Tee Life Skills curriculum in conjunction with golf skills.
